Digital libraries and social networks: a case study of the Gallica project

The provision of digital services must go hand in hand with their promotion on social networks, which is why the BnF decided to launch such a programme for Gallica in 2010. The article draws widely on concrete examples provided by the various members of the Gallica digital team with responsibility for information, contacts with users, and promotion, to demonstrate how the service works, how it is seen by "Gallicanauts", and how the new tool has impacted working practices.
