The new European Commission green paper Copyright in the knowledge economy: an opportunity for libraries?

The European Commission’s new Green Paper on copyright in Europe is part of a project that could eventually lead to the overhaul of both the 2001 European directive and the French Dadvsi law on authors’ rights and related rights in the information society. Lionel Maurel explains how this could be an opportunity for libraries to redress the balance and obtain better terms in intellectual property legislation, both in France and Europe as a whole.
