Libraries and mobile reading
Since 2001, the Landowski library in Boulogne-Billancourt has been leading a grass roots action on mobile reading which has led them to put in place a service for lending digitized books downloadable to dedicated electronic files. In 2003, this service was extended to other types of mobile terminals, digital assistants and personal computers. An insert by Pascal Schmitt outlines the experiment for the loan of electronic books set in place at the University of Bourgogne.
