Heritage, production, reproduction

The author of the article defines the historical term of "heritage" which he compares with the terms used in German and Hungarian. He then looks at the notion of "the heritage of the book" as a subject of research: both as content; items belonging to a collection; and as a type of material loaded with a symbolic political dimension. Heritage is built in a given society and within the framework of a historical context. Finally it must be known about and recognized as such by society at large, and therefore reproduced.
