Reading in English in Paris
Objectives of leisure and training come together for public libraries that acquire books in the original language. The author of this article provides an overview of the English-language literature on offer in Paris (municipal network, anglophone cultural institutions, the Bibliothèque nationale de France and the Bibliothèque publique d'information) and discusses the question of audiences for such material.
