To Establish a Rational Plan for Periodical Subscriptions: The Example of Cadist des sciences de la terre

Faced with the rising costs of scientific documentation, libraries are compelled to review their acquisitions policies, in particular those that concern subscriptions. How can a centre for the acquisition and distribution of scientific and technical information establish a subscription plan compatible with its missions: the acquisition and distribution of documentation in the service of national research. A subscription plan has therefore been established as a function of the utility of each title, of the documentation card and of the co-operation with other complementary institutions through a supply list of periodical titles.
