Studying collections: libraries and citizenship

Interview with Isabelle Duquenne, Jean Vanderhaegen and Gilles Éboli. Library acquisitions policies and, more broadly, their collections as a whole demonstrate their will to provide the tools and resources necessary to become an informed, educated member of society. Taking this public service remit as a starting point, how can librarians reconcile demands for diversity in the material on offer, reader satisfaction, and professional neutrality?
