Libraries and digital content: new opportunities

The advent of the digital age is without a doubt the greatest paradigm shift since the Industrial Revolution in the eighteenth century. From the huge computers of the 1960s to today’s iPhones, devices have shrunk but their capacity has grown gigantically, generating information flows that are so considerable that it is becoming increasingly difficult to control and manage them in an age of mobile apps. Librarians are seasoned professionals when it comes to handling information, and as such can help users, particularly in certain categories, not to drown in digital data and to regain control of their electronic devices and the information they hold.
