Training information professionals in legal research

Legal research is a specialised field, complex in terms of both organisation and content. In most cases, it is carried out by legal experts for legal experts, whether academics or practising lawyers. Information professionals must therefore be trained in the logic of the field and gain a clear idea of their clients' expectations to understand the research resources available in the field of law. Only then will they be able to find information and help novice or established legal experts in their research.
