The LRU at the university of Versailles – Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines

This article is an on-the-spot analysis of the LRU’s impact on information resources at the university of Versailles–Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. The SCDs have three assets – electronic resources, a culture of self-evaluation, and student services – but they must be able to rely on a clear, germane ministerial strategy that respects university autonomy, giving the French approach to contracts between the state and institutions a chance to demonstrate its effectiveness.
