Librarians! How many divisions have they got? A dialogue on forums for discussion and debate between librarians

The article draws on a meeting between the editor-in-chief of BBF, representing the establishment, and a young blogger. It gives an overview of their discussion on librarianship and the professional associations, information tools, sites and modes of debate associated with it. It highlights obvious points of convergence between the generations, as well as clear evidence of a generational shift in librarianship practice between paper-based and digital documentation. This shift is identified as a potential source of renewal for professional information and debate.
