Digitising art history sources: the digital library at the Institut National d’Histoire de l’Art (INHA)

The INHA digital library is a virtual precursor to the future INHA library, scheduled to open in 2012 in the Labrouste Room at the Richelieu site, which will bring together the current library collection built up by Jacques Doucet together with the collections from the central library for the national museums network and the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts. The digital library offers on-line digital resources for the three partner libraries. The article explains the library’s intended role in the field of digital art history, the technological decisions involved, and future developments.
