Reading Habits in Burkina Faso: a survey on third year pupils in villages and small towns

This article presents an analysis of the data from a qualitative and quantitative survey carried out in eight villages and small towns in Burkina Faso. The survey provides the measurement of differences in reading habits between students living in villages which have a library and those living in villages without a library. The students living in villages with a library read 25 % to 75 % more books than the other students.
