Archiving videos on the web: documents? Which documents?
The BnF (The French National Library) is actively participating in the start of archiving videos on the web. This enterprise presupposes the definition of parameters to prioritize the collection of documents (videos and their “documentation”) according to their intrinsic value and their representation. Targeting and evaluation are therefore essential for the two methods of collection used at the BnF: automatic collection and legal deposit.
