Blogs and wikis: when the web appropriates the information society

The technical evolution and the appropriation of web characteristics have brought about the arrival of new types of specific publications: blogs and wikis. Innovative also in terms of communication and exchange of information, they allow for major reactivity and integrate new models for the validation of information. Without questioning the existing model, they offer new perspectives for the diffusion and the sharing of information. It is still difficult to place them in relation to journalism as tools for democratic debate
