What type of trainers are required to teach information literacy to first year university students?

This article reports back on a qualitative study undertaken with trainers in information literacy for first year undergraduates. Does the diversity of their status (library staff, academic staff, part-time staff, tutors) have an impact on the effectiveness in the training in information literacy. This initial questionnaire has led the author to question the legitimacy of their involvement in this type of training. This article offers an analysis of their thinking.
