"Youth employment contracts": a new route to becoming a librarian?

The author of the article gives an assessment of a youth employment scheme which has corresponded to the needs of new services, such as working with the public, facilitating the use of multimedia areas, and the concern to improve the situation for youth employment, in a context which is not favourable to employment in public service. Has this scheme created a new route of access to the profession of librarianship? An insert presents an example from Lille.
