Retirement and replacement strategies in local community libraries
The retirement of a large number of staff in the local public sector with 2010 looming on the horizon, will lead to a veritable "cry for oxygenation". In this perspective, the author of the article suggests some paths to explore: methods of recruitment; initial and ongoing training; revision of organograms and organizational staff structures; recognition of the individual itineraries of future pensioners. He bases his ideas on his own experience at the Municipal Library in Tourcoing.
