Specifics of Contemporary Art and Acquisition Policy
It is because contemporary art isn't a discipline like others that we cannot adopt the traditional modalities of library development. It is to accompany, to nourish the creative activity, and not to facilitate the compilation of texts or of sources, that we must think of ways of treating documents and acquisition policies that are adaptable and pertinent. In this article, reflections are applied to the experience of the médiathèque of the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts.
