The Book and Reading in the Regions of France: The Policy of the Ministry of Culture in the Regions
This article draws up an inventory of fixtures for different ways for putting specific cultural policies to work in a region, within a context of a process of decentralization. Relying on numerous given figures, the author puts particular emphasis on the contractualization and on the role of regional centres of letters and offices for co-operation between libraries, which contribute to the development of the book and reading in the region.
