Quality Management in Spain

Since 1992, libraries and document centres in Spain, with the assistance of their professional associations, have taken into account the methods of quality management in their establishments. Its applications have multiplied, as much in public sector, with an interest in growth from university libraries, as in the private sector. However, the approach is established slowly and requires prior interventions notably in the change of behaviour in relation to managerial conceptions and in the methods used in professional training.
