Art library, art of the library : some reflections inspired by an experience in a museum library
The art libraries are documentary services within very different institutions : art galleries, private foundations, cultural centers, art schools... Documents, racks, specialities, circulation of the acquisitions are different too and complicated... The « librarian-documentalist » has to answer an heterogeneous request and to be a real specialist of arts. In the face of such specific problems, cooperation, national networks and standadizations may be the solution.
