Towards the library without walls : the initiatives of the Library of Congress
Mostly from private funds and partly to help it secure a better support from Congress, the Library of Congress is developing four initiatives, aiming to gain new constituencies and a better footing in the country : a magazine project, a cable TV series, the dissemination of its collections on optical media and direct on line access to its data bases from every State.
