Statistics and evaluation in French university libraries
A review and a presentation of statistical evaluation in French university libraries. ESGBU (General statistic attempt in university libraries), created in 1976, will be strengthened by the instrument panel, a local piloting system. The indicators of this system plan to share out the management costs functionally and to define the unitarian cost of each transaction (acquisition or cataloguing of a document). In this panel there are also some qualitative evaluation elements.
