The birth of the telematics has disturbed the prevailing notions : the librarian must now revise his position regarding users (cost of information), documents (the terminal replacing the printed document) and, of course, regarding himself. After being a single and " omniscient " intermedium, he will be, from now on, an " information-animator " working inside a team together with the public.
