Geneva city libraries

The Geneva city library network has undergone rapid development over the past decade, in terms of organisation, internal processes, infrastructure, and services to the public. It is now time to launch a vital new step in this process by consolidating and optimising the achievements of the past ten years. The current organisational issues facing the library system have arisen from the creation of a management level whose role is to act as an interface between policy-makers and library staff responsible for providing services to readers. Future projects – particularly cultural mediation – can only be effectively carried out by a network of libraries in a position to build on the solid basis now in place.
