Bibliotheca Universalis : towards a common catalog of the digitalized documents accessible through the telematic networks
The project Bibliotheca universalis was launched last February during a G7 meeting held in Brussels. This project aims at creating a catalog of the digitalized documents available on the participating libraries' servers. A brief survey of the existing digitisation programs involves all the G7 countries and the European Commission and asserts the need of international cooperation.
