Adventurers or pioneers… Are combined public and university libraries Utopian?
Those libraries whose intention is, or was, to deliberately combine both the public and the university functions, by taking as a common denominator geographic proximity, are few. Despite elements in common, all demonstrate their own original formula. Is this an unrealistic objective? What do students expect to find in their municipal library?
