A large community and interuniversity library project in Clermont-Ferrand: where does the student from the general public fit in?
The convention signed in 1902 by the town and the university in Clermont-Ferrand brought about the creation of a common service – the interuniversity municipal library. This partnership was reaffirmed in 2005, which led to a project to build a large community and interuniversity library. The emphasis was put on the user and his logical information literacy progress and led to the reorganization of the collections, which reach beyond institutional barriers; and poses the question of the coexistence of different types of user.
