Readers and librarians: competition or co-planning?

It is often noted that the advent of the internet and the digital age have been a blow for libraries, forcing them to rethink their relationship with users. Co-planning new activities is one of the innovations that can give libraries a more human face. The article presents a few examples of such projects. However, this raises the question of whether co-planning might not become competition in the long term, as readers gradually learn to manage without librarians even within the library itself.
