A French-speaking school in North America: the School of Librarianship and Information Sciences

The Ebsi, the School of Librarianship and Information Sciences at the Montreal University is the only French-speaking school which offers training in information sciences in North America, in the University tradition of which it is a part. It is characterized by its cultural duality and the features that ensue from this. Recognised by the American Library Association, it carries out an ongoing and upheld evaluation, a guarantee of its reputation, which is also contributed to by the excellent percentage of its graduates who get jobs. Faced with the risk of isolation in the American continent, it is looking to develop cooperative links with French-speaking countries.
