Creative Commons in the library: towards an alternative legislation

How can libraries, by using Creative Commons, better overcome the legal constraints linked to digitization and contribute to the freeing up of the works? By going from a logic of prohibition to one of permission relying on a gradual freeing up of works, Creative Commons, despite the incertitude which still weighs on their legislative value in French law, constitute a real alternative for the library; whether this is for the use of works, for the communication of the content created, or in connection with teaching and research.
