The Centre for knowledge transmission in Vilnius: a library for the 22nd century

Created in 1570, the University Library of Vilnius is one of the oldest and richest in Central and Eastern Europe. In a few years time a Centre for Knowledge Transmission will be added to this library, and conceived to be still operational into the twenty second century. Ecological, accessible, resolutely turned towards flexibility and innovation this centre will not only be a university library but also a resource centre for a variety of research and business institutes.
