Libraries in France online: the view from the outside
France stands as an example to the rest of the world of how to cope with the Internet, and digital information, and information overload -- in innovative ways, and in more than one language. Libraries have been among the leaders in this effort in France, as they have elsewhere. So much has been achieved in only ten years. But so much remains to be done, as well. Some notes about achievements as of 2002, improvements, and future directions.
