The student users in the Toulouse inter academic library

Surveys about student users have very much expanded since the middle of the eighties in the academic libraries. Some common principles are in these different processes of surveys : about the content, the intention of collecting qualitative data about users only known before by statistical indicators and, above all, the worry to support the determination of objectives and developmental plans with a real evaluation policy ; about the form, some oral questionnaires by teams of investigators and computerized processing of the results. In the Toulouse inter academic library, the plan developped some original elements in relation to this general framework : the setting up of a questionnaire which allows to report the different possible behaviours, methodological accompaniment of the survey, computerized processing which allows the inter academic library to exploit the results.
