Databanks and information process

An assessment of Urbamet and Pascal BTP leads to an analysis of information processes and to an appreciation of the comprehensive nature of information. Noticing new and specific documents is not easy because of the numerous references and because of the abstracts which tend to enhance structural elements instead of the problems. The authors commend a scientific management with searchers and documentalists together so as to isolate a hard core of relevant documents for the scientific community : critical signed abstracts, thematic registers with synthesis and critical bibliographies, as databanks are means of communication more than sources of direct information.
